From white coat dreams to Match Day screams, YouTube’s medical students are serving up a front-row seat to the rollercoaster ride of becoming a doctor. Medical school content on YouTube has blossomed into a vibrant community, offering a raw and unfiltered look into the lives of aspiring doctors. In fact, in 2024, there were more than 25M views of videos related to medical school with “vlog” in the title.* These “med-fluencers,” as they’re sometimes called, document their journeys through rigorous study schedules, demanding clinical rotations, and the constant pressure of a high-stakes career path.
